In questo video Kenny Aronoff mostra alcuni diversi metodi per microfonare una cassa di batteria con un microfono a nastro R-121. Ci mostrerà un’ottima posizione “Da fare” per ottenere la maggiore profondità per la cassa e un paio di posizioni assolutamente da “Non fare”!
L’R-121 nella posizione del pedale è stato posizionato lateralmente, lato nullo rispetto al tamburo per avere la minima pressione d’aria sul nastro. In questo modo dopo le riprese il microfono era ancora vivo e vegeto!

The R-121 in the beater position was placed sideways, null side to the drum for minimal wind pressure on the ribbon, and was actually alive and well after the shoot. Crazy staying power.
